Review by hotel critic
During my recent weekend escape to Home2 Suites By Hilton Petaluma, I found myself wrapped in a comforting embrace of both hospitality and the serenity I often seek on my solo travels. The location, a mere 2.3 km from the charming Petaluma Village Premium Outlets, made it convenient for a leisurely shopping stroll, although I ended up indulging in light grocery shopping thanks to the handy kitchenette in my room, perfect for crafting that hot cup of tea — a morning ritual I cherish. On arrival, I was greeted warmly by the staff, and though they were quite busy, their dedication shone through. One delightful touch was the cleanliness of the property. You could sense the attention to detail here. The breakfast was a standout, offering hearty options. I savored a delightful egg bowl that truly felt like home. A note for future travellers: opting for a room away from the highway would be wise for a truly restful night, especially if you're not keen on the sounds of passing vehicles. The beds themselves provided a cozy haven, but I must admit, the pillows left a tad to be desired — thin and challenging to fluff to comfort. This minor inconvenience didn't deter from the overall experience. I truly felt at peace in this space, and I wouldn't hesitate to return, perhaps with a companion to share in the shared moments of travel and exploration. The Home2 Suites embodies that comforting charm that echoes the warmth of Dublin's own hospitality, reminding me that far from home, one can still find peace and comfort in a welcoming retreat.
